    1. [NCLENOIR] FAIRFAX Soldiers
    2. Fairfax, Dan
    3. Hello Norman, We have researched those folks ....{:). Private Elias Fairfax, 2nd Company "A", 36th Regiment, Artillery, CSA, Fort Fisher 1862 - 1865 [ listed in the 1850 Columbus County, NC Census as a separate family from Needham Fairfax], is my gggrandfather from Columbus County, NC. His father was Nedom/Needham Fairfax, 1850 Columbus County, NC Census. Needham Fairfax's father was Micajah Fairfax, 1800 Bladen County, NC Census who's wife was a unkwn JERNIGAN lady. We are looking for Micajah Fairfax's parents and therefore need the Roster Listings of the British Regiments that served England in America during the years of 1775 - 1782, to identify any FAIRFAX British soldiers as a pursuit of a "Family Story" that states a British FAIRFAX Soldier married an American Lady and that's where our Fairfax Line began in America ....{:)....and you know how them family stories go!? ...{:)....but it's the only specified lead I have at this time for our FAIRFAX Lineage earlier than Micajah FAIRFAX, 1800 Bladen County, NC Census. Horry County, SC ... Virginia .... and Maryland are our FAIRFAX, STRICKLAND, HINSON, ANDERSON, JERNIGAN, and HAYES related and relative to our research efforts ...{:). Any clues would be greatly appreciated! ...{:). Peter FAIRFAX, Dobbs County and Lenoir County, NC presence in the late 1700's. Sgt. Frederick Fairfax, 1st Continental Army, North Carolina Line, 1776. 2. Martha Marble
    3. >From Guy. The Pipkin family moved on down to Lenoir, Wayne and Duplin Counties. Lovely old home. First Pipkin we have been able to trace to is John Pipkin, died, 1745, Chowan County, area is now in Gates County. His son Joseph is my link down. Brother Isaac stayed there, lot's on him in the court records. There was a home built for Isaac when he married around 1860, this might have been the first Isaac's son's. It stands in Gates County today, been renovated and is for sale. Went there throughout the renovation process and took some pictures. Posted them to a webpage that I'm sending along. Asking price is around $235,000 including 10 acres of protected land. Know of anyone who would be interested in investing in this one ? It could be a bed and breakfast or a time-share for the Pipkin descendants. http://www.angelfire.com/hi3/pipkinhouse/ Guy

    1. [NCLENOIR] boundary lines - Jones, Craven, Lenoir
    2. Martha Marble
    3. Well, might be making some progress on the boundary lines and know some of the rest of you are also confused on this subject. Some of my cousins have land in Lenoir Co on the Neuse Road that was inherited from the Simmons family of Jones Co. Never been able to understand exactly why that land was in Lenoir since the Simmons family was Craven then Jones. That land appears to be original Craven Simmons patent land. She has a deed from Jones Co deeding that land to her paternal side ca 1850. That land today is in Lenoir Co on the ES of Southwest Creek. That means there was another boundary change after 1850. She is sending me a copy of the deed and maybe some more in the Vause family in the same area. Without seeing the deed can only speculate so will advise the lists when I see it. The deed mentions Cabin Branch and I am not sure if that is the same thing as Indian Cabin Branch or not. Martha

    3. Robert and Elizabeth Stone. - Bible records. Now those BIble records don't give Robert and Elizabeth's children other than Daniel, but since they were right together on Falling Creek, Robert who moved to Tenn has to be a son also - along with William and maybe a Henry who also married a Herring. That is the only crowd I have eliminated as my own family.
