Cemetery Records of Johnston Co NC called her Janie Pittman Lamm, and Betsy Pittman (of Valdese, NC) originally thought she was a sister of Jonas Pittman, but later research has been confusing. Betsy's latest note on the subject says "the death certificate of Annie Arkansas Lamm Pittman gives Jane's maiden name as MEDLIN." NOTE: Jane and Elias and their son Bennett (22 May 1865-25 Sep 1896) appear in two separate cemetery records books: in Cem Rec of Johnston County, NC, in the Garry Pittman Cemetery; and in Wilson Co, NC, Cem Rec in a Lamm/Pittman Cemetery in Spring Hill Township, where Ira Pittman is also buried. Where were they actually buried? >From Betsy Pittman "when we first visited the Pittman cemetery in Kenly on 14 Sep 1980, the Jane, Elias, and Bennett Lamm tombstones were in place. However, on our return to the cemetery on 13 Sept 1981, the Lamm stones were no longer there.
