I would be more than willing to help. I would love to represent the POLLARD family(ies). If the Johnston Co List would perfer that we not do this on this list, then I would like to make a suggestion. Can someone out there make a website for this get together? That way it would not bog down the Johnston Co list. Then on occassion the progress of the get together could be put on the list, with a link to the Johnston Co Get Together website. The website could list various people who you could reach in regards to the surnames of the family(ies) they are representing, the progress of the plans, etc. Another suggestion would be that someone or more than one person that lives in Johnston Co form a committee to take on the responsibility of trying to find a place to meet, figuring up the cost of renting a place (if there is no other option, but to rent), making up a list of hotels/motels in the area that a person could inquiry about making reservations, etc. This info could be put on the website. A barbecue is a great idea, but it has to be taken into consideration that people coming from out of state may have a problem with transporting food and it not going bad before the get together starts. I will try to be of as much help as I can.
