My ggggrandmother is Annie Grice Godbold, whose daughter Ellender Godbold married Daniel P. Wright. Annie Grice Godbold's father, name unknown, was the fourth government of Alabama. Her brother is William H. Grice. Colonel W. H. Grice was originally from Horry County; he came to Marion away back in the twenties or thirties. In formal times he had represented Horry in the House and had been Senator from Liberty (Marion) and Kingston before 1810; he was a well read man for his day; he had three children--A History of Marion County, W.W. Sellers (1902) W.H. Grice was the executor of Stephen Godbold's estate. Would like to hear from you.
