To continue a thread recently on the list, I found in a book an explanation of the various money systems in early NC. "In speaking of money, there are several varieties referred to in this book, including Proclamation money of North Carolina, current money of the Province of Virginia, current money of the Province of Pennsylvania, and sterling money of Great Britain.
