PITTMAN, WILLIAM "BILL" R., 78, of Lutz, died Tuesday (March 6, 2001) in Tampa. He was born in North Carolina. He was an electrician, World War II Army Air Corps veteran, volunteer at Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club during golf tournaments, and member of First Baptist Church of Lutz. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; two daughters, Catherine Taber, Lutz, and Sandra Loyd, Land O'Lakes; two sons, Jerry Ballard, Clayton, Ga. and Randy Ballard, Tampa; two brothers, Fred Pittman, Stantonsburg, N.C., and Ray Pittman, San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Margaret Gay, Greenville, N.C., Pauline Craft, Saratoga, N.C., and Lois Baker, Fountain, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
