In 1843 he moved to Rowan Co., NC, where he was a saddlemaker/harness maker. That meant that Abner was also her son. Other sons were YOUNG and NEEDHAM PACE (and possibly others) who left Guilford Co. in the late 1850s and moved to Mecklenburg Co., NC where they owned land now occupied by the Charlotte Hornets stadium.. Now I have to find what happened to Alsey Pace, the father, by searching more of the Guilford Wardens of the Poor films.
