NC Wills Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/JohnstonWill/87 Surname: WADDELL, PEARCE, JOHNSON, JOHNSTON, PEACOCK, BROWN, MASSY ------------------------- The State of North Carolina Johnson County May the 20th in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Sixty four Know all men by these presents that I the said Evrett Wadell doth being in Sound mind and good Remberance doth Make my last will and testament and for it to stand and Bee acted on and no other what soever in the first place I give my Sister Rhoda Pearce Five Dollars and also my Brother John Wadell Five Dollars and also I leave 205 Acres of land on the North Side of the moulton Branch to Bee Sold and all of my Just Debts paid out of it and what is Remans Equally Devided Between Harris & Evrett Richchard Wadells and also 40 Acres of land I give Joshua Wadell adjoining my home Track and J. T. Elises on the County line this is all my last will and testament and Chose Harris Wadell for my holly and soly Executor in presants of these witnesses here unto I Set my hand and Seal the day and date above Riten Signed Sealed in presants of those Witnesses (signed) Evrett Wadell {seal} Witnesses (signed) Stephen Johnson (signed) Zilppia Peacock State of North Carolina Johnston County Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions, May Term A.D. 1866 A paper writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Everett Waddell deceased, is exhibited for probate in Open Court, by Harris Waddell, the executor therein named, and the due execution thereof, by the said Everett Waddell, is proved by the oath and examination of Stephen Johnston, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. It is therefore considered by the Court that the said paper writing, and every part thereof, is the last Will and Testament of the said Everett Waddell, and the same is ordered to be recorded and filed. And thereupon the said Harris Waddell, executor as aforesaid, enters into bond in the sum of $500 with Jesse Peacock and John M.
