This new publication contains a complete abstract of the entire free population schedule of the 1860 federal census for Johnston County. Included are dwelling and family number, name, age, sex, occupation, real and personal property value, place of birth, and additional remarks including race. The book is spiral-bound with a laminated cover, and is 260 pages in length. It includes a complete full name index for all heads of households and for individuals of different surnames residing within households. Copies may be purchased for $32.00 plus $5.00 postage ($37.00 total). North Carolina residents must also include 6 percent sales tax ($1.92) for a total of $38.92.
