Fellow Thornton researcher's, I have some info. that shows a William Tarleton who lived in Isle of Wight was over 21 in 1717 (to be a witness I think you had to be 21 ) . So is this the son of William if so then his birthdate would be before 1710 closer to 1696 at least? THAT means he would of been 95 ? years old when he died. OR am I reading this wrong and he was b. in 1700 as he signed the paper in 1721 then he would of been 91 years of age. I can't tell what year in 1717 or in 1721 did he have to be on record and be 21 years old ( ? when the paper was D. (dated ? ) or R. ( registered ? ) , signed in 1721 as a witness ?? Has anyone else found any records of William T.as witness's other then this one?? THANK you, Gail Then I have another copy of record showing the elder Roger & wife Margaret in 1717 also.
