This Jacob Peacock (1778-1840/50, Johnston Cnty, NC) was by 3rd great granduncle, brother of my 3rd great grandfather Wiley Peacock. Jacob purchased the family farm from mother and siblings im 1811. I don't have O'Neal or Rogers in my database, but that doesn't mean that their wasn't a marriage connection that I'm not aware of. I only have marriage info on three of Jacob's children. I received much of my info from the Peacock Family Association of the South, which I joined for $15 a year. http://www.peacockfamily.org/ - Suggest you put a request on their query page. Other Peacock BBs where you can post a quiery are: http://genforum.genealogy.com/peacock/ http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/p/e/PEACO CK/queries http://www.familyhistory.com/messages/Messages.asp?category= Surname&forum=Peacock You'll have to copy and paste balance of long lines into your browser. Good luck. I'd appreciate hearing from you if you find out any new info. - Ray >From: "Jean Shanelec" <shanelec@informatics.net> >Date sent: Fri, 3 Nov 2000 09:15:03 -0600 >Subject: [NCJOHNST] Peacock name >To: NCJOHNST-L@rootsweb.com >Forwarded by: NCJOHNST-L@rootsweb.com >Send reply to: NCJOHNST-L@rootsweb.com > Do you have Peacock ancestors from Johnston County?
