He had a son named Alfred Standley. HARRIS STANLEY lived at one time at a place called MONK'S STORE in Sampson County, NC. he married a Matilda Hall that was called "Tillie". He had a daughter named Susan "Susie" Standly who married HENRY GRAY CAPPS of Johnston County, NC. They had a daughter named SALLY JANE CAPPS that married MARTIN VAN BUREN TALTON and their son LEONARD WADE TALTON married LUETTA LYNCH WOODARD IN Boonhill Twnsp. Johnston County NC. near the little town of Princeton NC. All these people are my Family. The time peroid is 1840-50 thru 1995. I live in Virginia but all of my relatives were North Caroline natives and I was born in North Carolina. The above information I have has but one person GREAT UNCLE ALFRED STANLEY who the Census of 1850 says he was born in Georgia. I found his Confederate grave and marker in the cemetery at Mount Olive NC. and all that was on the stone was his Name and his Co. and Regtm. he served in during the War Between the States. This information corresponds with his service record. He died in the Confederate Hospital in Raleigh, NC in 1924 and my mother remembered visting him with my father and his parents before he died. She also attended his funeral. I know this is a long E-mail and I thought maybe you had some related information to this STANLEY-STANLY-STANDLY FAMILY. I enjoyed so much hearing about your connection to the same Woodard family as mine who were so good to my Mother. I look forward to hearing from you again.
