I believe he came from either Johnston or Wake county. He married Ina Goodwin from Wake. They moved to Porsmouth, VA. Upon her death Ina was buried at Sunset Mem Gardens in Smithfield. One of her sons is buried there too. Wm M beasley was buried n Portsmouth. I assume since he buried his wife and son in Smithfield he had ties to that area.
