The location for "*From Ulster to the Carolinas: Finding Your Scots-Irish Ancestors*" (Scots-Irish Research Workshop) on Saturday, July 26th has a new name: "Aldersgate", 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC. (previously known as the Methodist Home, 3420 Shamrock Drive) If you are stuck in researching your Scots-Irish heritage, looking for new resources, or if you are among the many who are holding off on this "over the pond" research because you have heard that Irish records are sparse and difficult, this workshop is for you. David E. Rencher has prepared a workshop with all levels of researcher in mind. Topics include: "Irish Jurisdictions and Reference Works", "Irish Immigration – the Sources in Ireland", "The Scots-Irish in North Carolina, and Irish Church Records: Church of Ireland, Presbyterian and Catholic".
