Her father was James Eli Barbour, born in Johnston County in the 1880's. He died in Norfolk in 1937. Jim's parents were William R. Agrippa (Grip) Barber/our and Salina (Lina) Johnson. Grip was born in Johnston Co in 1844 and died between 1910 and 1920. Lina lived at least until 1920. Do you have these people in your database? I have not been able to definitely identify Grip's parents. Possibly Pulia/Purly since the 1850 census says he has a 6 year old son named William. Also since they are in Elevation Twp I am reasonably assured they are part of the Plyer Barber group.
