B) 28 Apr. 1819 Cumberland Co., NC deposition: James Webb (now of Cumberland County) a private;drafted April 1778 for nine month tour in NC regiment under Joshua [or Geehew] Bradley at Petersburg Virginia; in the month of July 1778 and marched there under Co.Hogan of the 2nd. N. Ca. Regt. to the White Plains to join General Washington but did not join the General until he deponant arrived at West Point in the State of New York"; discharded May 1779. C) 27 Sept. 1820 Johnston Co., NC deposition: James age about 69; resident of Johnston Co., enlisted for 9 months on Ajpril 1778 at Spikes in Dobbs Co. NC and served under Gee Bradley Company in Col. Hogans 10th Regiment North Carolina line. Discharded May 1779 at Halifax, NC. Fought in no battle while in the regular service but while in the militia fought at Moors Creek under Col. Caswell. D)9 Mar. 1821 Cumberland Co., NC deposition: James Webb "aged 70 years, resident in the county, but formerly of Johnson County: Inlisted in Capt. J. Bradleys Company sometime in April 1778 of th tenth Regiment commanded by Col. Hogan of the NC line & was discharged from Sd Regiment then at Halifax NC sometime in May 1779: was at the battle of Mouse Creek or Bridge: he has three sons named Marida (Maridith) aged 43 years, Redding aged 35, and Josiah aged 21 all in such indegent circumstances as to be unable to contribute to his support, and one daughter named Polly aged 25 years. This James Webb would have been born about 1751
