    3. Hello Diane! I have seen the book you are referring to, it is a great source of information. I would love to swap information, I recently came upon Harry Hinton BARBOUR's POW records on Footnote.com, and other civil war information. The only information I have on Amanda "Mandie" Barber is her birth year of abt. 1865. I look forward to hearing from you. Their daughter, Amanda "Mandie" Jane Barbour married my 1st cousin 3 times removed, Bartemus "Teemie" L. Pollard. I'm a direct line descendant of Etheldred "Dread/Dred" Pollard and Lucinda Smith. FYI - By any chance have you seen the book "The Barbour Clan of Memory Lane" by Todd Johnson, Rt 1, Box 318, Garner, NC 27529, 1982? If not, I had bought a copy online from the Johnston Co Heritage Center. There are pictues in there of many of the Barber/Barbours, cemetery stones, charts, obits, marriage licenses, etc. Feel free to e-mail me at geno1862@comcast.net and I will be glad to send you what I have on Smithy Byrd and Henry "Harry" Hinton Barbour, including my notes and sources.
