Born July,29,1924, in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Alcie Daniel and Lessie Mitchel Childers. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Four Oaks Cemetery. The Rev. John Norman officiated. Surviving are his wife, Ruth T. Childers: two sons , Miles L. Childers of Four Oaks and Curtis W. Childers, of Quebec City, Canada: and two sisters, Lessie Mae Vinson of Four Oaks and Grace Blackmon Wall of Smithfield.
I checked several boards and could not reach them at first. Then I did reach the Obit board and posted a test obit with no problems.
