    3. John T. Avera was my g-g grandfather. He was the father of Nell Jackson Avera (1866-1923), who married Frederick Jackson Williams (1854-1924). Frederick and Nell's son Carl Sasser Williams was my grandfather, who died long before I was born. If anybody can help me place this John T. in the Avera family tree, I'd appreciate the help. I'd also like to know the maiden name of his wife, Druzilla. Here's John Avera's will, filed for probate in Johnston Co., NC on 17 February 1923: "North Carolina Johnston County I, John T. Avera of the County and State aforesaid, being of sound mind but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament. First, my executor hereinafter named shall give my body a suitable burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts, and of the first moneys that shall come into his hands out of my estate. Second, I give and devise unto my beloved wife Druzilla Avera all the lands of which I may own or die possessed, wherein situate, to hold for herself during the term of her natural life, and after her death, I give and devise the same to my heir begotten on the body of the said Druzilla Avera. Third, I give and bequeth unto my beloved wife, Druzilla all my personal property of any description, as well as money and chosen in action (auction?) to her and to hold during the term of her natural life, and after her death to go to my heirs begotten upon her body. Fourth, I hereby constitute and appoint my trusted friend W. L. Brady my lawful executor to execute this my last will and testament according to the true interest and meaning of the same. In witness whereof, I the said Jno. T. Avera do hereunto set my hand and seal this 22 day of July, 1905. John T. Avera Signed, sealed and published and disclosed by the said John T. Honeycutt That since the executor of the foregoing will W. L. Brady herein appointed executor has died, and in his place I appoint my trusted friend J. S.
