NC Deeds Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/NC/JohnstonDeed/10019 Surname: Ferrel, Henldey, Watson, Lee, Lafser, Hennant ------------------------- Johnston Co, NC Deed book R2 pg 239 This Indenture made this 13th day of February in the year one thousand Eight hundred and thirty five Between Henry Ferrel of the Wayne County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Joseph Ferrell of the Johnston County and State of aforesaid of the other part witnessed that I the said Henry Ferrell for and in consideration of the sum two hundred and eighty dollars to him the said Henry Ferrel in hand paid and himself therewith fully satisfied hath given, bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth absolutely grant sell and confirm unto the said Joseph a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Johnston on the water courses of Black Creek Beginning at a black gum in Lees Swamp and runs thence South to a Black Gum in a Slash, thence East to a pine in John Ferrels line, thence North along John Ferrels to the county line, thence along the county line to the Spring branch, thence up the various courses of the Branch to Stephan Watsons corner, thence South along Stephen Watson line to a stake, thence East along Amos Watsons line to a Sassafras, thence South to Lees Swamp, thence down the Swamp to the beginning containing Two hundred and Eighty-six acres. With all and singular the right to? appurtenances belonging or in any way appertaining to the and land to Have and to hold unto the said Joseph Ferrell his heirs and assignees forever in is clear and simple a manner to all interests and purposes as appears an indefeasible estate of John ? I the said Henry Ferrell doth hereby link and oblige myself my heirs executors administrator and assignees forever to warrant and defend the above mentioned land and premises unto the said Joseph Ferrell his heirs and assignees forever In witness whereof I the said Henry Fearrel do hereinto sit my hand and seal the dau and date above written.
