Does anyone have any info on Edgar Vance Barbour (b. Mar 4, 1897 Johnston Co, NC; d. 1929 NC; parents: Nancy Winnifred Pollard and William Robert Barbour/Barber) who married Alva Pearl(e) West (b. Sept 18, 1901 Benson, Johnston Co, NC; d. Apr 1, 1980 Norfolk, VA; parents: Junius Vaden West and Lou Ella Hall). So far, I only have that Edgar and Alva had a daughter, Pearl(e) Louise Barbour (b. July 30, 1923 Johnston Co, NC). Alva's 2nd marriage was to Herman Talmadge Norris (b. Jan 21, 1910 Erwin, Harnett Co, NC; d. Feb 13, 1963 Norfolk, VA; parents: William Gaston Norris and Louella Weaver) Alva and Herman are both buried in Benson, Johnston Co, NC, but don't know the name of the cemetery. Edgar Vance Barbour also had a brother, Walter Z. Barbour (b. Feb 3 or 14, 1899 NC; d. July 21, 1925 NC; same parents as his brother, Edgar). Walter is buried at the Zebulon Johnson Cemetery, Ingrams, Johnston Co, NC. According to Ancestry.com - World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, the original card says that Walter was "practically deaf and dumb".
