Hi Larry, We have exchanged information previously, but what I do know that is new is that someone applied for DAR membership with Plier Barber (our Plier Barber) as her Revolutionary War ancestor and her application was approved in late 2007. They referenced the RW pay voucher (from the book by Todd Johnson, Barbour Clan of Memory Lane),and (also probably from the NC Archives) and also an entry in the book transcribed by (Haun) Johnston Co, NC Court Minutes, Book III, 1778-1786 pg 206. The copy of the voucher is nearly illegible, and we are very interested in what additional information the Court minutes book may have other than what I specified in the original email below. As of yet, no one has been able to find Plier listed in any war rolls, I have searched for Capt Bryan in the New Bern District, NC. till I am blue in the face (LOL). And have come up with nothing, so this development is very exciting.
