    3. Good morning all, I haven't posted for awhile...so I thought that I would just take a few moments this morning to do so. I'm looking for other researchers... who are looking for any of the following surnames...which are now well proven as residents of this area of NC during the 1780's and 1790's... ROSSER, VINSON, WATKINS, BARBER, PATTON Specifically...I'm researching: James ROSSER m. Alice WORTHING b.15 Mar 1738, Charles City Co. VA [Often written as 1738/39 due to the calendar changes.] [FTM...ONLY lists the 1738/1739 as the year. Most odd.] m. 1765 in Prince George Co. VA [orig. Charles City] d. d. 12 Apr 1799; Probate finished in 1800. Reace [Reech, Reese, Rise, Rhys] WATKINS m. Sarah BARBER b. 1730, Chester Co., PA m. Augusta Co., VA d. 1807, Oglethorpe Co., GA Ironically...they lived in the same NC area...but their descendants inter-married on 14 Apr 1916 in El Paso TX. Since both families were the normal...large ones, there are lots of my cousins out there, and some are digging into the family histories. The VINSON connection is both a lateral, as well as a direct line, to my ROSSER. The PATTON connection is a lateral to my WATKINS-BARBER. The CAMPBELL, and BELINDEN, are my direct line back to the Cadawalader WATKINS line and BARBER. Thanking all in advance, Lisa Grimes [email protected] Surname DNA Project Coordinator for ROSSER and GRIMES ================================================= -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
