    3. Ron, I haven't a clue about your Elizabeth Hartsfield, but I tracked a family once of Sims and kin from Johnston Co NC to Oglethorpe Co GA about the same time period as you are tracking. They migrated very early to GA. Best I can tell it was about the time of the Peace because some of them were fleeing their British Creditors after the Peace gave the British Merchants the chance to collect on old debts owed before the Revolution. Wiley Henry Sims, son of Charles and Esther Murray Sims [Sr.], married a Mary Hartsfield and they all went to Oglethorpe Co GA from Johnston Co NC. Mary Hartsfield was born about 1774 in Johnston Co NC. A sister of Wiley, married a Mackleroy/McElroy and another sister married a Bridges/Bridgers. In any event, the whole bunch of them: Sims (parents and children) and their in-laws, including the Hartsfields, all went to Oglethorpe GA. In addition, I am told, without proof, that a Martin Sims was born in Johnston Co NC as was an Elizabeth Hartsfield were married in Oglethorpe Co. GA around 1807 or so. However, this Elizabeth Hartsfield would have been younger by about 30 years than your Elizabeth Hartsfield. Makes only sense that your Elizabeth Hartsfield was related somehow to this bunch who went from Johnston Co NC to Oglethorpe Co GA. 3. Ron, One correction to my post. They actually went to Wilkes Co GA and settled in that part of Wilkes County GA that later became Oglethorpe County. So I think you must first look for them in Wilkes Co GA.
