John Burton Lees daughter was Asenath (Sena) Lee, who married Enos Harrell, shortly before 1790. Thomas Lee shows up frequently in deeds for this period and is likely brother to "old" John Lee. Recently I found a Tyrell county will for Thomas Lee Sr., filed in Jones county. In it, Thomas Lee sr, names son Thomas Lee Jr. I see no other reason for it being in Jones cty, unless "Sr." died there, although it shows probated in Tyrell cty. (Tyrell is 2 ctys north of Jones). The wll also mentions Sr. wife Elizabeth and nephew Stephen or Steven. Witnesses were Barrett and Rhodes. There were so many Lee's in Johnston cty, can anyone connect this family of Lees, or their probable inlaws, the Burtons ? Gary Stella
