Johnston, Jr. Wilson NC (This Bible was printed at Philadelphia in 1851.) William H. Horne, son of Henry and Charlotte Horne of Johnston Co., was born Sept. 28, 1816. In 1850 he was living in Greene Co., NC. On Nov. 18, 1840, he married Mary E. Porter, dau. of James and Catherine Porter. She was born Nov. 18, 1805 and died Sept. 10, 1842. ONLY CHILD 1. Ellen Horne b. Sept. 3, 1841 and died Sept. 18, 1842. On Jan. 11, 1844, William H. Horne married Lavinia Edwards, dau. of B.S. and Jemima Edwards. She was born Nov. 22, 1822. CHILDREN of William H. and Lavinia Horne 1. Emma Horne b. Jan. 24, 1846, d. Aug. 27, 1846. 2. Sarah Horn b. July 23, 1847, d. May 5, 1854. 3. William H. Horne, Jr. b. Oct. 27, 1850 and died in 1866?. 4. Emily Horne b. Oct. 9, 1854.
