John married Elizabeth PETTUS on January 28, 1828 in Johnston County, NC. Elizabeth was born in 1807 (grave marker) in NC (U. S. census). I suspect John's father was William GILES of Johnston County. But I have no proof of this. William married Lydia WOOD on August 27, 1793 in Johnston County, NC. Have you ever heard of any GILES, WOOD or PETTUS in Johnston County, NC. Have you ever heard of William GILES, Lydia WOOD, John GILES or Elizabeth PETTUS anywhere in NC?
