    3. I'm reseaching Bakers from Greene Co who may have had ties to Johnston, Wilson, and Wayne. In 1850 there were six Baker men living in Greene Co. James, Elijah, Willis, Bryant, Jesse, and William. Bryant was the only one who owned land. The others were coopers by trade. Elijah Baker is a Johnston Co name. Jesse Baker was a primitive Baptist preacher who had moved to Wilson by 1860. Elijah Baker was married to Mariah Hobbs in 1850. William was married to a Fereby. James in 1850 had married the widow of Abram Moye of Greene County. I don't think they had children. That is my line. James had 3 children living with him in 1850 James Hines Baker, Elizabeth Baker, and Cordelia. I'll work on all this and send it in a better form later. Paula Baker Researching Cole, Wilkerson, Norman, and White in Georgia, South Carolina, and Louisiana and Baker, Tyson, Manning, and Stocks in North Carolina ____________________________________________________ Yahoo!
