Joel Britt shows up in 1790 Bertie Co., along with a Thomas Britt and a Jesse Britt, There is a Thomas Britt age 84 living with a Johathon Britt age 28 in the 1860 Johnston Co. census, Samuel Porter was mentioned in his fathers (John) will date 27 Jun 1796 Sampson Co., NC. Samuel and Nancy later moved to Wayne Co. Grantham Twp.Goldsboro area. John and Catherine where living next door to her mother Nancy in the 1880 Grantham Twp.
