The building you mentioned was at Holt's Lake. In fact, part of the building was still standing about four years ago. In the late 40's and early 50's, as a young boy, I used to go there with friends swimming. I remember the dance hall and boat docks. It was a nice place to go in those days for enjoyment. I wouldn't call it a "Juke Joint". I don't remember the exact name of the place. We just called it Holt's Lake.
I know there is a Holt's Lake, but is there also a Holt's Pond? As a young teenager, my cousin, died in Holt's Pond. I vividly remember passing it every time we would leave my Aunt Annie Mae (Pollard) Talton's home. It was her son that died at the age of 16.
