Stancil, dated 25 February 1918. North Carolina Johnston County I, Joseph H. Stancil, of said County and State, being of sound mind but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and declare this my last will and testament. First. My executor, hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives, and pay all funeral expenses, together with all my just debts, out of the first moneys which may come into her hands out of my estate. Second. I give and devise to my beloved wife, Nellie Stancil, the tract of land on which I now reside containing twenty five acres, and all the personal property of which I may be in possession for the term of her natural life, or her widowhood. Third. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Pearl Stancil Baker, the sun of Ten Dollars to be paid by my executor, either in cash or personal property, at the discretion of my executor. Fourth. At the death of my beloved wife, Nellie Stancil, all my real estate and personal property to be equally divided, share and share alike between my two beloved children, Jesse B. Stancil and Belle Stancil, and their heirs and assigns. Fifth. Should either Jesse B. Stancil or Bell Stancil die without leaving direct heirs, the entire estate is to revert to the one living, or to his or her heirs and assigns. Sixth. Should both Jesse B. Stancil and Bell Stancil die without leaving direct heirs, then the entire estate to be given to my beloved brother, W. L. Stancil, and my beloved sister, Mrs. Sallie Upchurch, their heirs and assigns. Seventh. I hereby constitute and appoint by beloved wife, Nellie Stancil, my lawful executrix to all intents and purposes, to execute this my last will and testament, according to the true intent and meaning of the same, and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof, I the said Joseph H. Stancil, do hereunto set my hand and seal, this the 25th day of February, 1918. Joseph H.
