NC there are four main familys listed: Richard DODD, William DODD and two men named JOHN DODD(2)familys of that name one john dodd is listed next to william on the census. I have a census for 1810 of Johnson co. NC showing a Jonathan DODD. I am interested in anyone knowing how this man fits into any of the four main DODD familys in Johnson co ? Jonathan DOD (DODD), a gunsmith, was born abt 1784 in SC. his first son, ashley haywood dodd listed on the 1850 census of choctaw co. alabama that he was born in NC.? By 1830-40- and 50 this family was in washington co. clark co and choctaw co.'s alabama and then was in texas before 1860-except for a few who stayed in ala. the bulk of the male family moved to texas.
