Jackie, Before going to work, I pulled my Moses Avera (1831) file. There are essentially 2 original court petitions and 1 sheriff's orders in the Estate File that I copied. The two court petitions spelled the name Royals and the Sheriff's petition clearly spelled the name Ryals. They all spelled his first name as Lovit and in one case as Lovitt. Don't forget the information on your Word Processor. By the way, in which State do you live?
