NC Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Johnston/1993 Surname: Johnson, Johnston ------------------------- Johnson/Johnston came out of James City and Isle of Wight, Virginia down to Old Johnston County, NC and from there we have Williams and Henrys who were descendents from those in Johnston County families who took their children to Chesterfield Count, Cheraw District, SC. We have a William Johnson born 1787 who married a Margaret and they lived in lower Chesterfield County. We have a William Henry Johnson born about 1790 who married Rebecca Kissiah in Chesterfield County. We are trying to find the parents who came out of Johnston County. We have found their kin and friend Joel Johnson who was born in Johnston County in 1769, but we have not been able to find the connection to Henry and William. Any information will be helpful.
