I just received a photocopy of a 1668 land grant from a cousin of mine. The land was granted to Isaac and Francis Delamare,in then Albemarle County. The deed was (re)recorded ,1789,in Pasquotank Co. "The said Land being due to the said Isaac and Francis Delamare for the Transportation for one (Pflon) or (Plon) for every fifty acres as appears upon Record under this Patent" I checked www.refdesk.com and a land term web site and found no mention of "Pflon" Psson or Plon.
