Good evening all Re: Bullard or Briggs family? I'm trying to find where I might find proof of my ggggg-grandmother's birth. The information I have inherited states that Zilpha Lowder (married name) was born in 1794 in Johnston County, NC--but I would like to find that where this is recorded. I'm not sure of her maiden name, as it's been recorded on cemetery records two different ways. Her own burial record: Parents are recorded James and Rachel Briggs Her son, John's, burial record: Parents are recorded as Zilpha Bullard and Jesse Lowder. This has caused some confusion in our records for a while. So--to sum up-- ;-) Can anyone tell me of any books or pamphlets or where I might find her birth recorded.
