I am particularly interested in any theories on his whereabouts after 1819. Did he die or did he abandon Elizabeth? My Benson line seems to have a connection to the Boyts, Pates and Johnsons of Johnston County when members of each family moved to West Tennessee and intermarried. Thanks for any info.
