I believe they migrated from North Carolina with some other brothers of Amos Peden's family. He and his brother Elisha settled in Giles County about the same time as Nancy, so I'm hoping there is a connection between our families. I really don't have any connection to Amos Peden except that Bryant's middle name is Howell. His brother Elisha had a son named Howell as well.
