She married Thomas Cashion around 1835 in Giles County, TN, and their first child was born there. Sometime after that (1835-1840), they moved to Marion, AL. Her brother was Levi Peden of MS. I believe Amos Peden and Ann Ritor Howell were her parents. Here's why, and I'd be curious to know if you ever ran across Nancy. Nancy Caroline Peden and Thomas Cashion had a son named James Howell Cashion, and a son named Robert Warren. Levi, Nancy's brother, had a son named Amos. Amos and Ann Ritor Howell had a son named Warren. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark Roberts Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Mark: My name is Ray Peden and my g-g-g grandfather was Bryant Howell Peden of Giles County. I believe they migrated from North Carolina with some other brothers of Amos Peden's family. He and his brother Elisha settled in Giles County about the same time as Nancy, so I'm hoping there is a connection between our families. I really don't have any connection to Amos Peden except that Bryant's middle name is Howell. His brother Elisha had a son named Howell as well. I would appreciate any information you have on the Johnston/Giles connection.
