I'm not a Musslewhite descendant, but I have a friend I haven't seen in a good while whose husband was and her two sons are. Her husband was Judge Robert "Bob" Musselwhite (now deceased) of Houston, Texas. To your knowledge, do they fit into the Johnston Co. family? I remember her mentioning another Musslewhite family in Houston, and I think he was a lawyer also. I don't remember if there was a distant connection there or not. I have Muckleroy and Dawson families in Johnston and Wake before 1800.
