    3. Hello List, I have just found a photo that was in my dad's family photo's from ages ago. It is a black & white of a Theodore Yelverton - (minister holding a bible in a long frock coat) . Were they related to the Sasser's - my dad was Lewis Sasser of Wayne co. his dad Harrison Sasser of Wayne co. b. 1897 I think. He was m. in about 1915. ANYWAY if anyone wants a copy of the photo.     3. This man is AURELIUS P. BARBOUR, my husband's great uncle. He was born 1841 in Johnston County, married Francis (?) born 1836. They married about 1865. He enlisted in Co. C, 53rd Regiment at Camp Magnum April 8, 1862. He and his brother HAWKINS BARBOUR, my husband's grandfather, served together and were with Lee when he surrendered at Appamattox. We would love to determine her last name (Price?) and share his will! We had run into a blank wall at the JC archives when we tried to find his heirs.     3. Hello List. Just to let you know that Raleigh Archives has a photo of Samuel Davis Thornton who lived in Wayne co. ? that anyone can order a copy of . I suppose he lived in Goldsboro or area as the photo show's him on a fire wagon circa 1890 - Goldsboro NC. His family though ,"other family member's " , also lived in Johnston co. NC. ON THE BACK of the photo is N 81.2.7 , I DID NOT order the photo myself someone sent it to me. THIS is Samuel Davis Thornton's parents . Does anyone know about his wife & children ??? I'm trying to locate the graves of Taylor and Leach family. Alfred Taylor's death certificate states that he died in 1930 at "Mc(Culler's?) Village, R.F.O. 1 in Cleveland Township". It gives the burial location only as "Family Cemetery". The cemetery may have been the family cemetery of J.T. Leach or McCuller's. The graves I'm looking for are for: Lucy Emily Taylor Alfred D. Taylor (Emily's son) Alfred's wives: Sarah Leach Taylor Nellie Leach Taylor Mary Bridgers Taylor any other Taylors Any information or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank you, budd warren

    3. Susan, A.P. Barbour is listed only in the Index to North Carolina Wills, 1665-1900 portion of this CD. The actual abstract of the contents of his will is not on this CD. The following is the information from the Index: A P Barbour 056 1886 WB-3/415 AR This indicates his name, County identification # (which is 056 for Johnston Co.), the date of probate, the book & page # it's recorded in & where the original is to be found ( in this case the North Carolina State Archives in Raleigh). I hope this may have been of some help although this CD does not contain all the information you are looking for. Suzanne

    3. I do not have any idea what "A. P." stands for (possibly Ashley P.) - he/she does however appear on several marriage bonds (along with a P. B. Langdon) for members of the Price family. I believe he is somehow closely related (i.e., grandfather, uncle, etc.). Thanks for taking the time to look; I was really hoping to find something since it is referenced on the FTM cd.

Census as follows: Langdon, Zachariah 23 Farmer NC Elizabeth 20 ??arlitia 2(F) Rufus 1(M) I am interested in learning who Zachariah's parents were and where they came from (I suspect they moved from Owen Co, IN to Gaston, NC and then to Johnston Co. but have no solid connection).
