I reallyneed to spend some time in Johnston County to research my family. I would think there would be much information as the town was named for my family, Boon Hill, NC. I am not sure I have the Will. You have it?! I can't help but think the people buried in the Boykin Cemetery must be related to my Louisa Boykin. Judging by the dates on the headsones they were probably descendants of the same family. Are there photos of this cemetery? I visited Princeton (Boon Hill) when I was in Raleigh for a meeting. I only had about an hour to spend, an it was a Sunday, so I think the entire town was in church or asleep as i did not see a single soul on the streets! Bill Boone

She married my g-g-g grandfather, Daniel Boon (no relation to the frontiersman) and lived in Boon Hill (Johnston Count, NC), now Princeton, NC. Simon Boykin lived around 1770's-1810 time range. I am curious if Simon Boykin is connected with the family of the Boykin Cemetery. The thought really intrigues me as I have very little information with that part of the family. Bill Boone

We have been paying for upkeep on the cemetary, but recently ran into some of the same problems with this man who doesn't want anybody back there. I also understand that another family marker has been erected on the property because these people now "think" it is their land! At our last family reunion in August 2005, I was given permission and the resources to do whatever had to be done to resolve these matters. These are human beings we're talking about being buried here! Our family! I want our heritage left for future generations. Please contact me ASAP. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this and along the way, maybe we'll be adding branches to our Hall family tree! Waiting anxiously to hear from you. Davida

The land that surrounds the cemetery belongs to some man who will not allow any more of my family to visit there or be buried there, because we would have to cross his field..The road is dog eye school road. The land the cemetery is on was given to my greatgrandfather along time ago. Just that little patch of land. Please contact me, I could get you more information.
