I am looking for more information on Jethro and Milly BAKER and their family. Jethro was on the 1820 Hertford County Census. His neighbors were Timothy Baker and Cassander Baker. Jethro died before 1830. His wife Milly married Abner ALSTON, a neighbor. Jethro and Milly had at least three children, Martha, Sarah, and Joseph. Martha died in 1835. James NOWELL, was guardian for Joseph Baker. I believe that James married Sarah Baker about Dec. 1838. They had two children, Isaac b. Sep 1839 and Milley Ann b. Mar 1842. Sarah died sometime after the birth of Milley Ann. James NOWELL then married Elizabeth MORRISS, the widow of Wm. Morriss of Bertie County.
