A number of Listers have inquired about the possibility of various names being mentioned in Skip's copy of this Winborne book, so thought that I would share this response that Skip sent to me describing the content in a little more detail. "It appears that this was a preliminary work broken up for publication for each seceding issue. In its entirety it would more resemble a detailed account of his specific Winborne family and its branches i.e. Warren, Hare, Pretlow, Massenburg. Plus some recollections of personal family stories and recounting incidents he was witness to. It isn't until later that he actually attempts histories on other Hertford families with his more famous volume. And from the sounds of other emails he was less successful in some cases. Not hard to understand considering Hertford records were destroyed so many times."
