Hi Everyone, A friend sent this info to me last summer that you may find interesting too: "...ran across a GREAT book when I was in the Family History Library. It is called Land & Property Research In The United States by E. Wade Hone. It has ways to find ancestors I didn't know about. You two may already know all this stuff but I sure didn't. If you have a Mormon Library near you check it out. I bought one from Amazon. Found it cheaper afterwards by $10. It tells about Federal Lands, Military Bounty, private land, oh, it just has everything and how to find it. How some things are left out of some records if you don't check the right place. Land entry case files are supposed to have genealogical info that would never be found in the case files on location. There is so much to learn from this that it makes me wish I had taken a course in it at one time!"
