I also have Bryants in Northampton County and my great uncle told me we descend from Whit Bryant - wondering if this is your Whitfield Bryant? My Whit Bryant would have a son Peterson Bryant born about 1820 married Mildred Peele. Liz, I believe we have one and the same Whitfield Bryant. This is what I have... Whitfield's father Allen Bryant... 1. Allen Bryant Allen was born about 1770 at Northampton County, NC. Allen died about 1815 at Northampton County, NC. Allen and Celia were married. No information on Celia. Allen and Celia had the following children: 2. i. Davis Bryant 3. ii. Lawrence Bryant 4. iii. Morris Bryant 5. iv. Whitfield Bryant 6. v. Catherine Bryant 7. vi. Lewis Bryant 8. vii. Miles Bryant 9. viii. Joseph H. Bryant 10. ix. Reddick Bryant Judging by the various deeds pertaining to Allen Bryant, he was most likely the brother of Jason, John, and Robert Bryant. Their lands, all adjoining one another, was in the Urahaw Swamp area of Northampton County, NC. 1. Whitfield Bryant The parents of Whitfield Bryant are: 2. Allen Bryant 3. Celia Whitfield was born about 1797 at Northampton County, NC. Whitfield and Sarah Brown (the daughter of John Brown ) were married April 1, 1817 at Northampton County, NC.
