Hi all, I'm Susan Lassiter Graham, and I've been asked to help with the administration of this mail list, by John Godwin since I know a bit about computers, and I asked how I could help. (A dangerous question!) My father's family is from Hertford County, NC, and I was born there. My family is still there, although I'm sad to say my grandparents aren't around any more. But my aunts and uncles and cousins are, and I visit them regularly. I am happily married with two boys, 8 and almost-10 and live in Atlanta, GA. NC Family Names: Baker?, Cherry?, Darden, Dunn, Forbes, Gregory?, Lassiter, Jenkins, Jones, Parker, Rogerson Visit, you say? Yes, and I'm going there in July on a purely genealogical research trip. However, this time around I have so much of my own stuff to research that I can't take specific research requests. What I can and am happy to take is information to keep an eye out for while I'm doing my research. I keep this in a file, and as I'm doing my research, if I come across something that is relevant to your research, I'll make a copy for you and send it to you (or take a picture, or write down the info, as appropriate). I have a digital camera that I'll be taking with me for cemeteries and documents. I'll also be back very briefly in August for a family reunion, and intend to stop by the Northeastern NC Genealogy Library in Elizabeth City (same deal as above). I may or may not get to the library in July. I've just started with my family history research last year, so I'm a bit new to this. However, I am good at research, so it's coming along very well. I am studying toward getting a certification in genealogy, and I'm not sure at this point whether I'll just be using it for my own research or whether I'll do professional genealogy work on the side. So let me hear from you, and let's get this list cranked back up a bit, shall we? <smile> -Susan Web Site Designer (among lots of other things) http://www.futuretechdesigns.com/
