Hello Susan, Thanks for the inquiry. Barnes House is at 308 West Main Street (highway 158 Business) in M'boro. It is next door to Garrett Funeral Home and across the street from the Dr. Walter Reed house. I have 3 rooms here; 2 upstairs with queen sized beds, 1 downstairs with twin beds, all with private baths, TV (w/cable) phones, and Fax on the premises. I also have two rooms at Piper House, which will soon be under a manager. They are: One with two double beds, one with queen bed; Cable TVs, private baths, phone available but no Fax. The houses are approximately one mile apart so the Fax is available to guests in both houses. Piper House is at 809 East High Street, M'boro. That is toward highway 11 on the east end of High Street. A large white house. Rates are $65.00 plus tax for single; $75.00 plus tax for double. $10.00 for each additional person in room at Piper House (big rooms). This includes a full breakfast. Check in is from 2:00 PM (or whenever you get here) and check out is at 11:00. Full breakfast served until 9:30 but after that it is Continental. Lucinda Glover mentioned in her letter that Woodson Manor (Don and Lynn Johnson) and Winborne House (Dick and Edna Hammel) are also lovely homes with great accommodations. Murfreesboro is not very large so all four of these places are within a mile or so of each other. Johnsons are at 252-398-4142. Hammels are at 252-398-5224. I look forward to meeting you when you come to Murfreesboro, no matter where you stay. Who are your cousins here?
