Hello Hertford Researchers, Surnames I am looking for in Hertford Co. are: Ezell, Outlaw, Rogers and Rooks. Benjamin and Ann Ezell were in Hertford Co. by 1782; Their son Lewis Ezell left there before 1820. He married Nancy Rogers, dau of Jonathan and Priscella Rogers. James Rooks descended from Thomas Rooks (Ruckes) who was in Chowan Co. in the late 1700's. His father was prob. Dempsey Rooks. He married Winnifred (Outlaw?).
