To folks considering visiting Hertford County: There are a couple of bed & breakfast places in Murfreesboro. One run by Don & Lynn Johnson has a web address http://bbonline.com/nc/woodson/index.html The 2nd is a restored home dating from the 1840s(?), run by Dick & Edna Hammel, both of whom are extremely active in Historic Murfreesboro activities. Enjoy your visit! And consider visiting the Brady Jefcoat Museum in Murfreesboro.
